The Lyric Opera of Chicago Broadcasts kick off the 2014-15 season on Sat., Sept. 6 with the live broadcast of the "Stars of Lyric Opera at Millennium Park" free concert on 98.7WFMT and wfmt.com. The classical station's afternoon drive host Suzanne Nance and Lyric's dramaturg Roger Pines will serve as host and commentator respectively of this season's Lyric Opera of Chicago Broadcasts.

The free preseason concert and eight operas of Lyric Opera of Chicago's 60th season will be carried live on 98.7WFMT and wfmt.com. The Sept. 6 broadcast begins at 7:15pm and the concert begins at 7:30pm. Lyric's 60th Anniversary Concert on Sat., Nov. 1 will be broadcast on Sun., Nov. 2 at 5pm.
The eight operas in Lyric's 2014-15 season are being broadcast live on their opening performances. Nance and Pines will anchor the opera broadcasts, which start with live commentary and recorded interviews at the times shown below.
