Machine Gun Dolly is a 4 piece Punk Rock'n'Roll band from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Started in January 2006 after the break-up of their previous band BlackSheep, Machine Gun Dolly is fronted by guitarist and singer Johnny Duflicker with his sidekick Jesse Strokes on the Bass Guitar and Mac Simpson on Drums. Inspired by 90's punk rock, and old-school rock'n'roll, the band are doing what they can to keep punk rock alive and kickin' ass for years to come.
The band independently released 200 copies of their self-titled EP in 2007, mastered by Rene Garcia (The Brains) which is now out of print. In 2009, the band recorded and released their first full-length album, Nuclear Generation on Title Track Records. In 2010, looking to complete the MGD lineup, the band brought on board longtime fan and friend Chris Hawkeye to the rhythm guitar position after the breakup of his band The Zero Hours. MGD then played regular shows and small tours for the next 2 years, and are finally returning to the studio to record their follow-up album titled "Until The Grim Reaper..." to be released in the summer of 2012.
