BIO:
Eric Dash started writing songs when he was 8 years old by taking popular songs on the radio and re-writing the lyrics and melody. When he turned 13 he started writing music with his guitar.
While his early influences consisted of pop-punk icons such as Blink 182, Eric also listened to John Mayer, the Goo Goo Dolls, Dashboard Confessional, Justin Timberlake to influence his writing.
When Eric in his early teens he played in many bands, but when he was 16 his father suffered a severe stroke that sparked Eric’s in seclusion and solo career. He recorded his first record with a back-up band in Philadelphia, which was heavily influenced by Something Corporate.
From the age of 16 to 21, Eric had recorded 3 demo albums and worked with numerous industry professionals. His heaviest guitar influences have been John Mayer, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King, and Eric Clapton.
In 2012, producer Jack Joseph Puig (John Mayer/Goo Goo Dolls/No Doubt) saw a talent in Eric and worked with him on a new record in Los Angeles titled “My Own Island”. The new record, slated to be released February, sounds like a mix of John Mayer’s “Room For Squares” and Owl City.
Eric is currently an unsigned artist in New York City performing with his band.
