EMILY WEST

BIO:
Emily West is a musical maverick in the masquerade of pin-up perfection. In a word, she is captivating. West’s music is melodically addictive and lyrically innovative. Eliciting every sentiment, but never overly sentimental, West explores the full scope of human emotions. From the mixture of curiosity, compulsivity and emptiness of a fling (“Boys in the Morning”), to the ferocious fantasizing of Hollywood love (“That’s How the Boy Gets the Girl in the Movies”), she lures us into the detailed and emotionally rich world she creates. Beyond the brutal honesty and unbridled emotion in her songs, there are also moments of striking humor and playfulness. West is blend of beauty, brains, and wit, West is a master at making us feel and then making us reel with often hilarious observations of the absurdity of the nature of existence her songs so masterfully portray. West was featured in People Magazine and completed a media tour for herdebut single, "Rocks in Your Shoes, which was in the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in early 2008. In January 2010, West released a duet with label mate Keith Urban titled "Blue Sky." The song debuted at No. 53 on Billboard Hot Country Songs chart for the week of February 23, 2010. It spent thirteen weeks on the charts and peaked at No. 38. West donated 100% of the first month of iTunes sales of "Blue Sky" to the Stonewall Community Foundation. West appeared in a 2010 episode of Celebrity Apprentice as the "music make-over" target for the women's team led by Cyndi. She recently appeared in the "Shades of Blue" episode on Body of Proof on ABC. West shocked us in 2012 with her independently released EP , 'I Hate You, I Love You'. It was #2 on the singer/songwriter itunes chart for two weeks sandwiched between James Taylor and The Civil Wars. West is currently working on a new look and sound with Sir Ks Rhoads. This record is highly anticipated and The two artists are branching out as a duo under a new name (Still yet to be determined) A brand new sound, with a brand new partner...evolving, always. Ms. West is like a new girlfriend with ever changing wigs and mystery. In 2013, West will be traveling to London.
