"Here Right Now," is the debut album from actress, singer and songwriter Claudia Lee. In it, 15-year-old Lee sings of love, friendship, imperfect families and dreams coming true. It is contemporary country music with a pinch of pop.
The Indiana native currently co-stars as Southern belle Magnolia Breeland on the CW network's weekly series "Hart of Dixie," which stars Rachel Bilson and Jaime King. Previously, she co-starred on the Disney XD sitcom "Zeke and Luther" as Bridget, the love interest of a nerdy skateboarder named Luther.
The album's title track, "Here Right Now," is an up tempo prayer to Lee's guardian angel: "I know I couldn't face this all without you by my side / 'cause everybody knows this is a friendship for life / Guide me, save me, love me, show me / I know my angel's right here, right now."
Lee slows things down with two ballads. In "Papa's Song," she sings about a father leaving his family. Think "Cat's in the Cradle," country-style: "Sometimes she wonders if it's all her fault / Past is broken and now she's going down the wrong road / She needs you now, but you've moved on / Your little girl is grown now, she misses you."
"Old Man" is a reflection on life's ups and downs, from the perspective of someone who is nearing its end. "He's an old man at the end of his life / If he could turn the tables he would do it any time," she sings.
"Here Right Now" is available on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify. More information about Claudia Lee is available at www.ClaudiaLeeLive.com.
