YELLOW SOUND LABEL will release the debut CD of composer Steve Marzullo on iTunes, Amazon.com and other online outlets on June 7, 2011. Show Some Beauty showcases Marzullo's music performed by a stellar lineup of guest vocalists including Broadway and concert artists Rebecca Luker, Ann Harada, Julia Murney, Michael Winther, Andrea Burns, Judy Blazer, Annie Golden, Heidi Blickenstaff, Luther Creek, Rachel Ulanet, Stephanie Card, Ric Ryder and Terri Klausner. Marzullo and many of the recording's guests will have a special CD launch concert at Birdland Jazz Club on Monday, June 6 at 7:00PM. The album was produced by Michael Croiter with Marzullo serving as co-producer.

Show Some Beauty is an impressively varied debut recording that sets music to various settings by William Shakespeare, Emily Dickinson, W.B. Yeats, Sara Teasdale and Walt Whitman, as well as words by contemporary lyricists Amelia DeMayo, Amanda Yesnowitz, R.G. Michaud and Katherine Lench Meyering.

Tony Award nominated Rebecca Luker opens the album with a lilting interpretation of Marzullo's musicalization of the Dickinson poem "I Think To Live May Be A Bliss." "Beautiful Dreamer" - with a lyric by Demayo and vocal from Broadway veteran Julia Murney - provides the album with a tender lullaby. Other highlights include Andrea Burns, of In The Heights, performing the bright and uplifting "Morning Song" and the trio of Terri Klausner, Stephanie Card and Sally Wilfert blending voices for the sparkling harmonies of "Her Face." "Halcyon Days," based on the Whitman poem, is
perfectly realized in a dramatic rendering by Mamma Mia! alumnus Michael Winther.

In addition to Mr. Marzullo on piano, the disc features Ray Marchica on drums, Michael Croiter on percussion, Jeffrey Lee Campbell on guitar, Mary Ann McSweeney on bass, Entcho Todorov on violin and viola, and Clay Ruede on cello.

Steve Marzullo is a composer who brings together Broadway, pop and classical influences into a unique and unclassifiable art.
