DOCTRIN, the brainchild of Australian-born singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Dolly Denko proudly premieres the new video for her latest single "Water Sign", exclusively with New Noise Magazine.

Directed by Dolly herself, the visually-striking clip was shot just outside of Sequoia National Park along the freezing waters of Three Rivers, CA, which made the video's final shot fairly dangerous.

"Water is a big part of all our lives but on a spiritual level there's just something I'm drawn to, it's a very reoccurring theme in my music and in my life," said Dolly to New Noise. "I find myself most at peace when I'm close to a body of water. But as for shooting the video, I was definitely afraid to jump in -- we checked for rocks and debris of course but there's no guarantee. Plus I knew it was going to be freezing. It was all great until I came up for air and it hit me. I was totally screaming for someone to help me out -- after running all day I just had no energy left!"

Doctrin's debut EP The Deep was released on January 15th. Co-produced by Dolly and Maxwell Moon (Joanna Newsom, Young The Giant) at Seahorse Sound in downtown L.A. the EP features five songs of infectious dark alternative pop that brings to mind shades of Garbage, Placebo and Metric.

Doctrin found initial success in the Australian market with her first two singles including "Take Me", the video for which -- a throwback/tribute to the film The Craft and the Charmed TV series -- helped her earn VEVO Australia's 'Artist To Watch' status in May. Soon after she followed her "gut instinct" to visit Los Angeles to write and record under the influence of a new locale, resulting in The Deep. The video for the second single "Give Me Love" made its premiere in America by Yahoo! Music on December 3rd. Also helmed by Ms. Denko with cinematography by Heath Saunders (Walk The Moon, Katy Perry) its an edgy and darkly humorous video that deals with unrequited love alongside bondage and burlesque.

Tracks from The Deep are impacting now at non-comm and specialty radio, with high chart positions at WRFS in Savannah, GA (#3), WFCF in St. Augustine, FL (#4) and KWLC in Deborah, IA (#7). Doctrin will tour in support of the EP through 2016 with a soon-to-be-announced slate of live dates.Denko

Doctrin is the moniker of Australian-born vocalist, musician, songwriter and producer, Dolly Denko. The Melbournite has been quietly simmering and scheming the U.S. release of her EP The Deep.

Described as demanding Dark Pop, Doctrin delivers moody melodies and lustful lyrics drowned in powerful grungy guitar tones that brings to mind shades of Garbage, Placebo and Metric. Dolly redefines the one woman band - 'singer-songwriter' is just too much of an understatement while she single handedly plays a majority of instruments in the studio, as well as writing and producing for Doctrin.

Her first two singles "Take Me" and "Give Me Love" hit the Australian market in the spring, with the video for "Take Me" gaining notice for its occult themes which was a throwback and tribute to the movie The Craft and the TV series Charmed. The singles and video generated such a buzz they helped Doctrin earn VEVO Australia's Artist To Watch in May.

Dolly refers to the singles an "introduction of extremes" and temporarily relocated to L.A. shortly after to begin work on new music with the intent of bridging the sonic gap between those first songs. With co-producer Maxwell Moon in tow, new songs were laid down to comprise The Deep, which was released on January 15th 2016.
