Nashville recording artist Kaitlyn Baker (Silvercreek Records) is fired up about her new music video "BURN." Scroll down to watch the video!
The song, which is being played by a growing number of radio stations, tells the story of a woman who turns up the heat on her cheating man, in more ways than one.
"It's an uplifting song that I think a lot of women will be able relate to, because if they haven't been in that situation, they probably know someone who has," she said.
Baker was inspired to write "Burn" by a line she remembered hearing in a church sermon and also by a personal experience her grandmother once had.
"For a long time, I had this lyric on the tip of my tongue: 'The truth will stand when the world's on fire,'" she said. "I started thinking about how it might apply to someone who's been cheated on."
The video, directed by Brian Harstine of Liquid Crystal Productions in Nashville, alternates between shots of Baker catching her husband in bed with another woman and studio shots in which she sings, while blinding flames burn so close behind her that you can almost feel the heat.
To promote "Burn," Baker recently teamed up with Pepper Palace, one of the world leading hot sauce producers, to create Kaitlyn Baker's BURN Sauce. The hot sauce is available through Baker's website and at her concerts.
"Burn" is Baker's second music video. Her first one, "Coal Train," was inspired by her hometown of Pound, Virginia. She has been performing professionally since she was a young girl, and has opened for several national artists, including Travis Tritt, Billy Currington, Sammy Kershaw and Rhonda Vincent. Soon, she will appear on the nationally syndicated public television concert series "Song of the Mountains."
"Burn" is available on iTunes and Amazon. More information is available at www.KaitlynBaker.com.
Kaitlyn Baker will perform at Hard Rock Café in Nashville on Saturday, January 31, from 7:00-8:00 p.m.; at 3rd and Lindsley in Nashville on Tuesday, February 24, at 6:00 p.m.; and at Tootsie's World Famous Orchid Lounge in Nashville on Thursday, February 26, from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
