Updates for next weekend's Grand Point North Festival at Waterfront Park in Burlington, Vermont have been announced. Check out what's new below:
- Warren Haynes will be joining the Grand Point Dead after party at Higher Ground on Sunday 9/15. Warren will be joining members of Grace Potter and the Nocturnals and other special guests from the festival in performing Grateful Dead classics.
- Tickets for the Grand Point Dead after party as well as 2-day and single day Grand Point North festival tickets are still available at http://gpnfest.frontgatetickets.com/
- Charlotte Potter, Grace's sister is bringing the Grand Point Weird art installation to this year's festival. This event features video installation, art installations, and glass blowing performance art. Bottled Emotion is a participatory event, which has been performed in communities around the world. This pseudo therapy is a personal confessional where the participant is instructed to take a deep breath and exhaust their emotion into an oxygen mask that is attached to the end of a blowpipe. Their concentrated emotion inflates the molten glass and these feelings give shape to the mass. For Grand Point Weird, the artist is making this a cathartic piece and will be breaking and disposing of these expired emotions.
