Warner Bros. Records/Reprise is pleased to announce that it has signed global superstar singer, songwriter, and actor Dwight Yoakam to its roster. The two-time Grammy Award winner releases a cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival's classic song "Who'll Stop The Rain" today via all digital retailers. (Buy it here.) This track will also be included on his new album to be released later this year. He will also make his first appearance starring in a multiple episode arc on CBS' summer smash Under the Dome. Yoakam plays barbershop owner Lyle Chumley and will sing a verse a cappella of "Who'll Stop The Rain" as the character on tonight's episode.

In other news, the pioneering country singer will hit the road as a special guest on the North American leg of Eric Church's "The Outsiders World Tour," which kicks off on September 11th in Bossier City, Louisiana, and crisscrosses the U.S. and Canada through December, with 32 arena dates in the fall listed here.

Yoakam has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide, placing him in an elite cadre of global superstars. He has earned 12 gold albums and nine platinum or multi-platinum albums, including the triple-platinum This Time. Five of those albums have topped Billboard's Country Albums chart with another 14 landing in the Top 10. More than 30 singles have charted, with 22 going Top 20. He is a 21-time nominated, multiple GRAMMY Award winner. In celebration of his critically acclaimed album,3 Pears, he received the Artist of the Year award at the 2013 Americana Music Honors & Awards ceremony, the most prestigious award offered by the organization. Having spent a record-breaking eight weeks at the top of the Americana Charts, the most of any album, Yoakam dominated Best Of 2012 Lists with 3 Pears, including NPR, Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, and American Songwriter, among others. 3 Pears marks Yoakam's 26th studio album and his highest-charting Billboard Top 200 debut.

As an actor, Yoakam has appeared in over 35 films, including roles in John Dahl's Red Rock West, Tommy Lee Jones' Cannes Film Festival award-winning The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, David Fincher's Panic Room, and the Academy Award-winning Sling Blade. Yoakam has also showcased his acting prowess on the small screen, with roles on King of the Hill and Wilfred, as well as numerous musical performances on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and The Daily Show. In 2014, Yoakam appears as a recurring guest star in multiple episodes of Under the Dome, based on Stephen King's best-selling novel of the same name. The role is yet another example of Yoakam's formidable presence as a film and television actor.

Dwight Yoakam is represented by ROAR a Beverly Hills-based talent and brand management company, WME, and Jackoway Tyerman Wertheimer Austen Mandelbaum Morris & Klein.
