Wardruna West Coast Theater Tour: Eivør Added For Support

Norwegian cult sensation Wardruna announced that Faroese singer-songwriter Eivør will open for their first ever West Coast tour in September. This latest run will build on the band's exceptionally strong North American touring debut as they follow up its sellout first ever East Coast tour from this past February. After selling out major theaters in huge cities including Boston, New York, Washington DC, and Montreal, Wardruna has already sold out shows on this latest run in Seattle, Portland, and Boulder.

This West Coast tour comes after years of fans demanding that Wardruna make its way across the Atlantic for shows in North American. It follows the band's massive 2016 album Runaljod - Ragnarok and, most recently, frontman Einar Selvik's solo EP, Snake Pit Poetry. This ten-minute EP contains an acoustic version, as well as the complete studio version, of his much-requested piece "Snake Pit Poetry," written for History Channel's beloved TV show Vikings. Limited 10" Snake Pit Poetry vinyls with etched B-side will be on sale on the tour, but are currently available at retail and online stores. After the success of their previous collaboration, Skuggsjá, Ivar Bjørnson (Enslaved) and Einar released an imposing new piece entitled Hugsjá on April 20th and played the new music live at this year's Roadburn Music Festival.

Over the last few years we have received countless emails and comments from fans across the US and Canada requesting us to "cross the pond" and perform more in North America and now we are FINALLY able to announce our first ever tour in North America. In February 2018 we set out to do a handful concerts in the eastern US and Canada. We welcome and proudly present one of the greatest voices from the Nordic countries, Faroese singer Eivør as Wardruna´s supporting act on our upcoming North American tour this September. If you are not familiar with Eivør then do yourself a huge favor and give her music a listen. We hope that many people will come and support us as well as spread the word and we hope that this is only the first of many American tours in the time to come!
