Acclaimed singer/songwriter/musician/producer Danny Kravitz and celebrated vocalist Dave Gallagher will be performing their just released recording The Face on national television's WGN America's The MidDay Show, Friday, February 22 at Noon (CST). Written by CGMA Covenant Award-winner Mark Masri and Juno Award-winner Stephan Moccio (Seal, Celine Dion), this hauntingly beautiful ballad.
Marking their first collaboration, Dave and Danny's gorgeous harmonies instantly recalls landmark male vocal duo Simon & Garfunkel, while it's majestic arrangement brings to mind the best efforts of Josh Groban and Celine Dion.
The multi-talented Kravitz, not only provided the song's arrangement but also played every instrument. Previously Danny has worked with platinum recording artists Alan Parsons, Jim Peterick of Survivor & 38 Special. His previously released self-titled debut album, is a musical
tour-de-force. With reviewers hailing the effort with such superlatives as "amazing" and "powerful and moving," Danny composed, arranged and produced the entire project, as well as played piano, synths, and guitar. The recording also featured Styx drummer Todd
Sucherman and members of the Grammy Award-winning Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
Gallagher, who has performed all over the country has been praised by the Chicago Sun Times for his "far-reaching, emotion-packed vocals." Dave's previously released recordings, which featured the virtuosic pianist Beckie Menzie, have garnered airplay throughout the world,
most notably his recent A Christmas Album. Praised as "joy to behold," by Rob Lester's Sound Advice column, three of it's songs landed on various national charts including ReverbNation's Holiday/Christian Top 10 (In the Calm) where it stayed for an impressive 60 weeks, and Amazon's Top 50 Contemporary Christian Chart (Welcome To Our World).
The debut collaboration of the duo The Face is a showcase for Dave and Danny and is now available digitally, as well as their individual recordings at iTunes and Amazon.com, and other outlets.
