Booklyn-based indie-electronic trio Violet* Sands reveal the "Airy Canary" today with Bullett Magazine in anticipation of their debut Strange Attractor EP out tomorrow on Ensemble Records. Driven by textural sonics, pastoral melodies, and vocalist Deidre Muro's shimmering vocals, the bucolic, glitch-infused tune is positively elemental.

Speaking exclusively about the track with Bullett Magazine, frontwoman Deidre Muro explains:
"Airy Canary' is actually sung from the vantage point of a tiny, microscopic particle, and the ups and downs of it's moment-by-moment journey," explains Deirdre. "The name of our EP "Strange Attractor" is taken from the lyrics, which are based around interdependence, fascination with discovery, curiosity about the universe, and optimism about the future."
Violet Sands blends myriad influences including 90's R&B, shoegaze, glitch pop and future bass with sci-fi infused cinematic soundscapes and trip-hop inspired dreamstates on their
Strange Attractor debut EP.
The trio crafts a shimmering, expansive, and experimental hybrid that is as playfully lush as it is masterfully produced on debut EP
Strange Attractor (Out May 6th), which was recorded and mixed at the band's YouTooCanWoo Studios in Williamsburg Brooklyn (where Perlick-Molinari also produced and mixed MGMT's Time To Pretend EP among many others).
Comprised of David Perlick-Molinari (French Horn Rebellion), Deidre Muro (Savoir Adore, Deidre & The Dark), and Derek Muro (Love Like Deloreans), the band previously shared breakout tracks "No Matter What", "Lift Me Up", and most recent single "Modern Ruins" - which is currently featured on the Spotify Fresh Finds playlist.
Violet Sands will perform live in NYC Friday May 20th at
Palisades BK to celebrate their EP release at the PopGun Presents Show w/
Memory Tapes & Ellie Harring.
