The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall's FREE, family-friendly outdoor summertime concert series returns this year with a lineup that is sure to get your feet moving! The events run from 5-9pm and are located on the Bayside Lawn of the Van Wezel.

This summer's lineup begins on June 19 with the return of Kettle of Fish. The band who is known for "Rockin' the Blues" loves to play a little bit of everything - from Blues to Bluegrass; Hank Williams Jr. to Jimmy Hendrix. They have opened for some of the biggest bands on the road, including Roger Waters, Dickey Betts, Eddie Money, and many more.

On July 10, Kim Betts and the Gamble Creek Band bring their high energy brand of country/rock, covering all the latest hits from Nashville. With strong female and male leads, their vocal harmonies are as spot on as the virtuosic guitar, fiddle, and mandolin solos.

Fan favorite, Yesterdayze makes a return appearance on August 21. Their eclectic mix of hits from the 60's transports the audience to a time of peace and love, and a little bit of carefree dancing was all we needed to "Let It Be."

Closing our Friday Fest series on September 18 is Reverend Barry & Funktastic Soul Featuring The Hellacious Horns. Playing all the best dance music by the likes of Earth Wind & Fire, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Kool & the Gang, James Brown & more, this band knows how to bring the party!

Bring your blankets or lawn chairs, take in the music and the sunset, and enjoy food and beverage from local vendors. Emceed by the energetic Dan Kriwitsky and Ray Collins it's sure to be a blast. Friday Fest takes place in "rain or shine". In the event of inclement weather, the festival will move indoors to our grand foyer or main stage of the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. Bringing in food and drink from outside the Fest is prohibited; coolers and weapons of any kind are also prohibited. Lead sponsors are Hann Power Boats and Metro PCS.
