DON'T YUK MY YUM "Don't Yuk My Yum" is a spirited pop song written by Sam Harris and Kyle Puccia, featuring Suzie Rose vocals and Jason Rose rapping his own words. DYMY is a celebration of self! A declaration of individuality, pride, and confidence as well as a strong stand against peer pressure and bullying. Seventy people of all ages, ethnicities, sexual orientations, shapes and sizes came together in one day to create the music video with the focus on empowering kids and teens...or anyone who has ever felt pressure to be anything but who they are and what they stand for. DYMY was created to encourage young people to stand up for themselves and say to the world "This is me. This is who I am. This is what I think. This is what I like. And don't tell me that I should be anything or anyone but myself. DON'T YUK MY YUM!!" We want everyone to be able to simply say, "DYMY."

Sam Harris says of the song:

"DYMY is for anyone who ever felt outside: All races, body types, sexual orientations. For anyone who - at school or at work, with family, friends or strangers who has been told you don't count, or who you are or what you like isn't good enough. So, how do you combat bullying, hate and peer pressure? WITH A CELEBRATION OF SELF! With joy and fun! We want DYMY to encourage people to stand up for themselves and say to the world "This is me! This is who I am! This is what I think! This is what I like! And don't tell me that I should be anything or anyone but myself. DON'T YUK MY YUM!!" We want everyone to be able to simply say "DYMY." And snap! This the first song I've ever written that I didn't record myself. It began when my son, Cooper, came home from school, and I negatively commented on something he said that he liked. "Don't Yuk My Yum, Dad." I heard him loud and clear. So I wrote a song! And then writer/producer Kyle Puccia came on board to co-create it with me. I got Suzie Rose to do her fierce vocal! Then newcomer, Jason Rose, replied to a Craigslist add for a rapper and wrote and recorded his part! Then director, Andy Putschoegl, and I decided to make a music video. Rather than go typical, we decided to make it more universal with all types. REAL PEOPLE! We had an open call in LA and the turnout was amazing! It was a long day of shooting and we ended up with 3 ½ hours of footage for a 3 minute song. After endless editing we got all we'd hoped for. SIXTY PEOPLE PUTTING IT OUT THERE - every single one believing in DYMY as a personal declaration. We hope it speaks to you." -- Sam Harris

Abut THE WRITER/PRODUCER: Sam Harris is a multi-platinum recording artist, Tony nominated Broadway star, television actor, and a best selling author. His iconic beginnings on television's "Star Search" recently prompted Jimmy Fallon to say, "One of the best musical performances I've ever seen ever aired on television ever!" Harris is also listed as one of Rolling Stone Magazine's "100 Greatest Singers of all Time." DYMY is the first song Harris has written that he has not recorded himself. The song was inspired by his 8 year old son, Cooper, when, after Sam expressed a negative opinion about something Cooper liked, his son said "Dad, Don't Yuk My Yum!"
