Maximum Hedrum is currently premiering the music video for their song "Keep In Touch" via Consequence of Sound. The track features George Clinton and is the first single from the band's forthcoming debut self-titled album due out on Tuesday, March 19th via Spectrophonic Sound. The poignant video was co-directed by Sam Spiegel and Christopher Neil. Check out the video.

"The video was inspired by an article in Italian that my friend Wendy Morgan sent me about a young man with cerebral palsy and his relationship with his mom and a prostitute. The story felt closely related to 'Keep in Touch' in the sense of yearning for intimacy without the ability to express it with touch," said Spiegel. "Shooting this film was a great experience in getting to know Javier Silcook (our lead actor who has cerebral palsy) and his family who are amazing (Javier has 62 adopted brothers all with disabilities as well). I hope we were able to show some of the beautiful as well as lonely moments of living with CP."

Maximum Hedrum's unique electronic-funk hybrid features Sam Spiegel, the vocals of Derrick Green from the seminal heavy metal band Sepultura, and renowned German musician and producer Harold Faltermeyer, and examines the way our lives are changing through advancements in technology and the Internet.

Aside from his work producing the Yeah Yeah Yeahs Grammy nominated sophomore album Show Your Bones and scoring countless films, documentaries, and commercials, in 2009 Spiegel founded N.A.S.A. (North America South America) whose landmark globetrotting debut LP, The Spirit of Apollo featured jaw-dropping collaborations from the likes of Kanye West, George Clinton, M.I.A., Tom Waits, RZA, David Byrne, and more.

After numerous experimental late night studio sessions with longtime friend and Sepultura vocalist Derrick Green in Sao Paolo, Brazil the Maximum Hedrum project was officially born. Heavily rooted in danceable electro-funk with classic synth textures, the album's single "Keep In Touch" is a thumping psychedelic offering that features additional vocals from George Clinton. The massive R&B influenced "Robosexual" incorporates additional percussion from guest collaborator Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, while the dreamy track "PHD" trance pulses with classic hip hop inspired beats. From start to finish, the album is a genuine genre-melding ride.

Maximum Hedrum kicked off a live residency at Los Globos in Los Angeles this past Monday and will appear for two additional shows on January 28th and February 4th. The band will also appear at Austin's South By Southwest in March. Stay tuned for additional live date to be announced.
