With latest track "17" climbing charts around the world, Detroit house producer MK has unveiled the official music video of his hot new single, directed by director Francis Wallis.
Wallis, who has previously worked on videos for the likes of Blonde and Pixie Lott, and Michael Kors is best known for his crisp shots and sharp cuts. With "17," he focuses on authentic and choreographed dance routines from lead dancer Goncalo Cabral. With a backdrop of Lisbon, Cabral and his crew showcase their Kuduro moves - a popular style of dance in Portugal with Angolan Roots.
Focusing on upbeat energies that match the single itself, "17" has been dominating club dance floors since its release on Area10/Ultra back in September. The track has so far amassed over 6.5 million streams on Spotify and looks set to gatecrash the Top #20 of the U.K. Singles charts.
To build upon the track's success, French future house producer and CONFESSIONS label owner Martin Bresso, aka Tchami, spun his own bass-heavy reworking of the track on the Tchami remix. Listen here: http://smarturl.it/MK17-Tchami
Beyond his production skills, MK is also a seasoned remixer. This year music by Rihanna, Clean Bandit and London Grammar received an MK remix. His latest is for hot U.K. house producers Solardo's "Fall Down." Check it out now here.
"17" serves as the perfect ending to an incredible year for MK, who's currently touring America (dates below) and launched an Area10 mini festival in Ireland, with 5000 tickets selling out in less than three hours. With headline stages at Creamfields and SW4, as well as Croatia's Defected Festival, 2017 has been one of his busiest years so far.
