Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth paid tribute to late comic Joan Rivers with a performance of 'Borrowed Angels,' on today's season premiere of ABC's THE VIEW. Check out the moving appearance below!
According to reports, the moving tribute brought View co-hosts Whoppi Goldberg and Rosie O'Donnell to tears. Said long-time 'View' host Goldberg, "Joan always knew how to leave people laughing, and nobody did it like she did. ... she was our best friend." The daytime talker also presented a montage of the late comedian's many appearances on the show through the years. "There'd be time when I'd be sitting on the couch, and she'd say something, and the laugh was from deep down," Goldberg shared. "When you get the chance to see a great artist - and she was a great artist - it's hard when they go."
The show also paid tribute to those who passed away during the daytime show's hiatus, including Richard Attenborough,Lauren Bacall and Robin Williams.
Chenoweth will make her return to Broadway in the spring with the highly anticipated revival of On the Twentieth Century.
