Hailey Knox's debut EP 'A Little Awkward' is out today on S-Curve Records, marking a transition from online viral phenom to bonafide recording artist for the 17-year-old who got her start growing a devoted following on the live-streaming platform YouNow. Watch her new "Geeks" video!
'A Little Awkward' is the first look at an artist who balances razor sharp Gen-Z songwriting with serious vocal/guitar-playing chops, an organic charm, and a remarkable live performance that showcases her ability to build a tapestry of sound on-stage with just her voice, six-string and loop pedals.
The new EP candidly touches on topics of body image issues ("My Worst Enemy"), being stalked online by her parents ("Awkward"), and not being a member of the "cool kid group" on first single "Geeks" which Idolator called "the new anthem for outsiders and the defiantly uncool" and Meghan Trainor said she's "obsessed" with.
Her sharply intelligent yet playful songwriting style shines on tracks like "Loopty Loop" which features Hailey's slinking vocals and sly pop culture references ranging from DeBarge to Jean-Michel Basquiat to "Raiders of the Lost Ark."

Hailey embarks on a 29-date tour this fall with Charlie Puth, and earlier this year was profiled as a YouNow success story in Billboard, and earned a nomination for "YouNower of the Year" at the 2016 Shorty Awards. This week Hailey is also appearing at the 7th annual VidCon representing YouNow.
