Nathan Lucrezio is a singer/songwriter, up and coming recording artist, and currently performing in the Broadway Production of Rogers and Hammerstein's CINDERELLA as the Woodland Creature/Ensemble. Prior to joining CINDERELLA, Lucrezio filmed two music videos for his debut singles "Crazy Girl" and "Walk Out The Door". Click below to watch both of the videos!

Music runs in Nathan's family. His father and mother met in a band, and Nathan started learning piano at a very young age. He was always singing with his family at their local church or community concerts. Last April Nathan had the opportunity to record two of his original songs, and film two music videos. "It was a big decision to make. I had always wanted to do a music video and release a single, but the life of an actor, and then trying to produce your own product sometimes doesn't match up. But, with a lot of encouragement I decided to move forward."

"I had a listening session for a small group of friends and played six of my original songs. I gave them lyric sheets, so they could follow along, and write down their thoughts. The feedback was so valuable, and not what I expected. Out of my six compositions I needed to choose two. These would be my first impression into the music business, and they had to be the right fit. A couple days later I decided on 'Walk Out the Door' and 'Crazy Girl'.

"'Walk Out The Door' is about a breakup and that moment when one decides to leave the person they love. When I first came up with the piano medley, my manager really liked it, and I knew I was on to something. I was nervous to hear what a producer would put down, but once I got the first demo from music producer/arranger Phil Hamilton, I was hit in the gut. The whole arrangement is haunting and it captured exactly what I had written lyrically.

"When I first wrote the hook for 'Crazy Girl' I had envisioned it sung by a girl friend of mine. I originally played it very dramatically, and legato on the piano. As I wrote more lyrics it quickly became about one of my relationships and I never anticipated it would become a pop tune, but once music producer/arranger Larry McRae sent over the initial track, I wanted to get up and start dancing! It has an infectious dance beat, fun guitar riffs, and is the perfect song for the club.

"It was my managers goal to have two very different songs out there. One for dancing/pop and one singer/songwriter to show the diversity in my work.

"Once the tracks were mastered, it was time to get the music videos underway. Considering I was juggling 4 jobs, I decided to do a fundraiser. With the the platform of GoFundMe, and the help of my family, and friends I rose about 2,500 dollars to do two music videos. I was lucky enough to find two of the best young filmakers in New York, Bowie Alexander and Ginzo Garcia and they came on board to film both videos. We shot 'Walk Out The Door' this past march starring the incredible Jessica Cadden Osborne (Radio City Rockette, Fuerza Bruta), Colby Lindeman (Wicked), and choreographed by Nick Kepley (Mary Poppins, Dance Assistant for Cinderella). Then it was on to 'Crazy Girl', in the summer, which features Catherine Ricafort (Honeymoon in Vegas, Mamma Mia) and Mileyka Mateo (West Side Story Revival). The whole process was a whirlwind and took so much hardwork. Yet, the final product is something I'm so proud of. After filming the videos I was working at Ellen Stardust diner as a singer/waiter and received the call to join the Cinderella cast. So within one month, I made my Broadway Debut, and Recording Artist debut. I'm still on a high from all the excitement and thankful to every person who made this project a success. When it rains, it pours, so I'm just soaking in the moment."

Nathan's singles 'Crazy Girl' and 'Walk Out The Door' are available on all digital music stores including iTunes, Amazon, eMusic, and Spotify. Click the links to download the songs and share: Crazy Girl and Walk Out The Door.

Lucrezio studied with the Musical Theater Department at Penn State University. Regionally Nathan played PePe in West Virginia Public Theater's production of West Side Story, and starred in his own Cabaret show at Fort Salem Theater. Nathan made his NYC debut originating the role of Warren in Adam Gwon's Ordinary Days at the York Theater. As he studied theater, Nathan composed original songs and started a following when an excerpt of his song 'Holdin On' struck over 60,000 views on Youtube. Since graduating Nathan moved to New York City where he was immediately cast as Alan DeLuca in the Broadway National Tour of 'A Chorus Line.' After tour he moved back to NYC and originated the role of Davis Crosby Wright (DC) in the urban/inspirational musical Children of God. Where he met current music manager/producer Charles Bernard Murray IV (Dreamgirls, Honky Tonk Nights). Nathan was 'Nominated for Outstanding Actor' for his performance as DC at the Midtown International Theater Festival. Nathan went on to write/star in his one man show UnHeard which premiered at the HERE Arts Center in SoHo. Other NYC credits include the 'Emerging Talent Award' from the 2011 Lotte Lenya Competition, making his NBC debut as a featured dancer in the TV series SMASH, a featured dancer in Al Blackstone's Happy We'll Be, Hank/Ensemble in Scott Thompson's One For My Baby workshop, and most recently Broadway Under the Stars in WeeHawken.
