MTV has announced the nominations for the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. Lady Gaga has a record thirteen nominations; other nominees include Beyoncé, Usher, Jay-Z, and Green Day.
Lady Gaga, who is nominated for Video of the Year, Best Pop Video, Best Female Video, and Best Dance Music Video, among other awards, said, "I'm so honored for all the little monsters and self-professed freaks of the universe, to have more VMA nominations in a single year than any artist in MTV history."
Other award nominees include Eminem, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Ke$ha, 30 Seconds to Mars, Florence and the Machine, B.o.B., and Justin Bieber.
Fans can vote in certain categories at vma.mtv.com through September 12. The awards will be presented on September 12 at 9pm.
