Bobby Brown's lawyer, Christopher Brown, has confirmed to ET that the Bobbi Kristina Brown incident is now officially under criminal investigation.
"We support the candlelight vigil for Bobbi Kristina. The Brown family is amazed by the love and support from all that attended," Bobby Brown's lawyer, Christopher Brown, told ET. "However the false reports that continue to appear in print and on the internet are egregious, false and will be dealt with at an appropriate time. The desire to be 'first' has clouded the judgment of many reporters as they forgo accuracy. This is a criminal investigation and the integrity of that process requires silence."
According to The New York Post earlier today, the family of Bobbi Kristina Brown has agreed to take her off life support tomorrow, marking the anniversary of her mother, Whitney Houston's death.
A source tells the Post that the idea was first suggested by Bobbi's grandmother Cissy Houston over the weekend during a family meeting held at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. Whitney Houston tragically passed away on February 11, 2012 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. According to the source, the idea of allowing Houston's daughter to pass on the same day is a symbolic way to keep the mother and daughter together for eternity.
The 21-year-old, daughter of Houston and singer Bobby Brown, has been in a medically induced coma since she was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her Roswell, Georgia, home on January 31.
As has been previously reported, the Brown and Houston families have been at odds over the last several days over the various options to treat Bobbi Kristina, but have finally come to an agreement. "This is the only thing they can agree on - that she's gone [brain-dead], and there's nothing more than can be done for her," the source said, adding that the difficult decision was made by both sides of the family.
Yesterday, the family turned to social media to invite the public to participate in a vigil scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Amphitheater at Riverdale Town Centerin Riverdale, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta.
