U-God Releases New Single 'Fire' Featuring Method Man and Jackpot

Just a week after the first single from the forthcoming Keynote Speaker hit the airwaves,U-God is already at it again. "Fire" featuring Wu-Tang veteran, Method Man, and Jackpot Scotty Wotty, brings all the heat fans and critics will expect and love. The bold track channels the original days of the Wu-Tang Era.
U-God will be blessing us with his 3rd solo release, Keynote Speaker on July 23rd via RZA's Soul Temple Records. Keynote Speaker features 15 gritty and raw tracks that channel the essence of Wu-Tang's staple sound. The album will boast features fromMethod Man, Inspectah Deck, GZA, Kool Keith, Styles P, and Elzhi from Slum Village. U-God plans to give the fans a rapid fire taste of the album by releasing 3 singles. First up was, "Heads Up" that features GZA, as well as his longtime partner in rhyme, Jackpot Scotty Wotty. The follow up second single, "Fire," a head nodder featuring Method Man, and Jackpot Scotty Wotty hits the airwaves today. U-God will then give fans a glimpse into his life as he chronicles his dark past on a third single, "Skyscraper," that's due to debut on July 16th.
U-God (short for Universal God of Law) as a member of Wu-Tang clan has sold tens of millions of records worldwide. U-God was first featured on Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), on the group's debut single "Protect Your Neck" as well as the now-famous opening verse of "Da Mystery of Chessboxin'." Throughout U-God's career he has been known to his fans for his rugged flow and bass-like voice on Wu tracks such as "Winter Warz," "Knuckleheadz," "Investigative Reports," and "Black Jesus." U-God released hisfirst solo album, Golden Arm Redemption, in 1999 on Priority Records that featuredtwo singles in "Dat's Gangsta" and "Bizarre." The song "Rumble" was used as the main song for the video game, "Wu-Tang: Shaolin Style." "Bizarre" debuted in Top 10 (#7) on "Billboard 100" and U-God became the first WU member to have a solo album debut #1 on Billboard. The album reached Gold status. Almost ten years later, in 2009, U-God independently released his rebirth album, Dopium, on FrankRadio/Baby Grande receiving4.5 out of 5 stars by I-tunes. The video for the lead single, "WUTANG," currently has over 4 million views on Youtube.
