Two giants of bass music, Two Fresh and HeRobust, have joined forces to introduce their dramatic and hard-hitting 'Throw That' EP out today, August 6, on SMOG Records.
This 5-track EP displays the incredible variety and precision with which these two acts are able to articulate their sound. The collaboration's prolific brand of hip hop-influenced electronic music brings a fresh new twist to the modern aesthetic, successfully melding the attitude of rap and hip hop with the intensity and danceability of electronic music.

This massive EP opens up with the title track, "Throw That", which pairs screwed-down hip hop vocals with punchy, stuttering drums and earthshaking kicks. Detuned leads and chopped-up samples garnish the track to perfection. "Touch" smooths things out with a modern, heavy twist on the classic smooth R&B track. Cut-up and re-pitched vocal samples bring a distinct shine to this sultry track, and heavy but spaced-out drums keep the vibe large and impossible to stand still to. The third track, "Cirque du Solo" finds itself cleverly wedged between West Coast gangster rap synthesizer leads and a hip-hop carnival aesthetic, opening up after a long, mouthwatering build. Two remixes close out the album in style: dubstep and trap mogul SPL lays down an enormous remix of "Throw That," opening with a classic breaks style and climaxing into a massive trapstep anthem. Finally, Philly Club and trap are blended together in an over-caffeinated uptempo cocktail throughout Philadelphia favorite Swizzymack's high-energy "Throw That" remix.
