Lungs is the follow-up single from eight-piece "orchestral folk" group TULALAH, releasing 5 May 2017. The single comes from their upcoming LP: The Question, releasing June 2017.
Lungs demonstrates the other musical side of TULALAH, adhering to the popular 3.5 minute arrangement whilst still weaving in their signature flavour with a large horn section and powerful vocal harmonies.
With it's beginnings in a silent car trip, during which a melody kept repeating and evolving, Lungs pursues feelings of frustration and freedom. Lungs explores the conflict that comes when you're utterly desperate for solitude, despite knowing that to move forward there will come a time to engage once more with the one that both frustrates and frees.
TULALAH are an eight-piece "orchestral folk" group from Melbourne, Australia that pride themselves on their immersive compositions and arrangements. Their previous album 'The Flood', released
October 2015 through Melbourne-based label,
Equinox Recordings, was praised as "Deep, soulful, intricate, delicate and intelligent" (Gavin Boyd - Soul Has No Tempo). TULALAH's follow up work builds upon the strengths of its predecessor, setting out to create a work that is both beautiful and all encompassing, while still encouraging the listener to be reflective.
