Dave Grohl's SOUND CITY PLAYERS' February 13 extravaganza at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom has sold out. All tickets for the one-time-only NYC all-star team-up of Dave Grohl and his extended Foo Fighters and Nirvana families with Stevie Nicks, John Fogerty, Rick Springfield, Lee Ving of Fear, Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick, Brad Wilk of Rage Against The Machine are now gone. The trailer is available below!

While in New York, Grohl will drop by THE COLBERT REPORT February 13 to discuss his critically and commercially successful directorial debut, and on February 14 THE SOUND CITY PLAYERS with special guest Stevie Nicks will make their network TV debut on THE LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN.

Having so far played two historic shows to date--one at this year's Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah and one in Los Angeles to commemorate SOUND CITY's January 31 Hollywood premiere--THE SOUND CITY PLAYERS bring to life the music created for the documentary and its accompanying SOUND CITY-REAL TO REEL album, out March 12 on Roswell/RCA. SOUND CITY-REAL TO REEL is currently available for pre-order at http://bit.ly/SoundCityiTunes, with all pre-orders immediately receiving first single "Cut Me Some Slack"-performed by Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, and Pat Smear.

As with the two previous shows, NYC configuration of the SOUND CITY PLAYERS will also perform numerous classics from the catalogues of Stevie Nicks, John Fogerty, Rick Springfield, Fear, Cheap Trick and more, as they join Grohl and a cast of his current and former bandmates including Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Krist Novoselic, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear and other familiar faces for a once in a lifetime evening.

SOUND CITY's grassroots distribution strategy to release day and date globally as theatrical, VOD and Direct to Consumer has netted the film an impressive $1 million in just 4 days. It is available for purchase DRM-free direct from the filmmaker at http://soundcitymovie.com and through iTunes--where it shot to #1 on the Documentary charts within hours of its Worldwide release on Friday--at http://bit.ly/SoundCityiTunes. The film is also available Worldwide on demand with more than 100 operators including: Comcast, DirecTV, Time Warner Cable, Cox, Verizon FiOS, AT&T U-Verse, Amazon VOD, Google Play, Vudu, and Sony PlayStation. One night only screenings were held January 31 across the USA, Australia and New Zealand, with theatrical runs beginning February 1. See http://soundcitymovie.com for more information on how to see the film.
