MTV today announced via Twitter that Tori Kelly, Troye Sivan, Halsey, Travis Scott and Kygo are nominated for the 2015 MTV EMAs "Artist on the Rise" socially voted category. The "Artist on the Rise" will be determined by the nominee who has the most cumulative favorites and retweets on MTV's specific, official tweet for each artist. Fans can find these tweets, and check in on which artist is in the lead @MTV or artistontherise.mtv.com. Voting is open through October 25 and 12:00 p.m. CET.
The winner will be announced during the U.S. telecast, airing at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on Sunday, October 25 from Milan's Mediolanum Forum, by Jillian Rose Reed of "Awkward" and Gregg Sulkin of "Faking It" who will be on-site in Milan as special U.S. correspondents. The "Artist on the Rise" category is sponsored by FDA.
Hosted by Ed Sheeran and co-host Ruby Rose, voting for all other award categories is open on mtvema.com through October 24 at 11:59pm CET.
