Tom Moran aka DADDY ROCKER Releases His New Album

Brooklyn born and raised country/ rock recording artist Tom Moran, aka Daddy Rocker, is proud to announce the release of his new album, Ain't Gonna Give Up. Singer/ songwriter Tom Moran's new collection of songs feature his unique style of inspirational rock music that is influenced by blues, folk and country music. Tom sings about rejection, lost love, the struggles of being a single parent and his faith in a Higher Power that has turned his life around. His words and music are emotionally direct and moving. Songs such as "Ain't Gonna Give Up", "Dyin' For You", "This Poor Boy", "Kisses and Hugs", and "I Love Jesus" are inspired by Tom's personal struggles and his faith that overcame them.

"I drove to South Carolina from Brooklyn with $5,000 dollars that I borrowed from my job just so I could make this CD. I only had six days to finish my album because after six days my money would run out and I had to get the job done. I was scared, but we did it, and this album, Ain't Gonna Give Up came out awesome! I recorded, mixed and mastered this album in West Columbia, South Carolina at Strawberry Skys studio. I have always wanted to do an entire album with a live band and I thought I would take this opportunity to give my fans a real treat. My producer Gary Bolton was excellent, and he brought so much to the table as did all the studio musicians. BIO: Tom Moran was born and raised in Canarsie, Brooklyn. His latest album Ain't Gonna Give Up marks and entirely new direction for Tom and his career as a country/rock recording artist. Tom is a gifted lyricist and vocalist whose talents have been compared to Bob Dylan, John Mellencamp and Bruce Springsteen. Inspired by these great artists, Tom is on a mission to forge his own unique style of country and rock 'n' roll music. Tom is a recovering alchoholic, who at one point in his life was ready to give up on life and love.

His first album, "Starting Over" was a tribute to the power of sobriety and second chances. Songs such as, "I Would Drink", "Starting Over", and "Into The Sun", reflect on Tom's life experiences. On his latest album, "Ain't Gonna Give Up", Tom struggles with different topics in his personal life. Such as: divorce, a broken heart, rejection, and being a single parent. Such songs as, "Ain't Gonna Give Up", "Dyin' For You", "No Big Deal", "This Poor Boy", "Wanna Love" and "Kisses & Hugs" are inspired by very peronal issues in Tom's life.

Born to an alcoholic father, Tom took to drinking at an early age. This initial casual drinking would turn into an all out addiction that consumed his life. Determined not to go down the same road as his father did, Tom sought help through a recovery program. Tom Moran a.k.a. Daddy Rocker has been clean and sober now for over 21 years and he has a Master's Degree from Brooklyn College. He is also a Public School Teacher for over 14 years. Tom's inspirations are his mom, his son Jonathan and his father-in-law Dr. John who was recently inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. Tom's life experiences and recovery from addiction have given him the ability to create music that is deeply personal with a universal appeal.

Tom Moran is currently working on a new video "Ain't Gonna Give Up", directed by Ade Richardson, scheduled to be released in October 2011
