Kettle of Fish is back today, June 19th to open up the Friday Fest series with their take on energetic Southern Rock mingled with soulful Blues from 5 pm to 9 pm. Offering some original songs written primarily by guitarist and vocalist Dana Lawrence, and some well-known classics, Kettle of Fish not only holds the interest of a wide audience, but will have them on their feet dancing the night away. The energy will be palpable as Kettle of Fish delivers hits from the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Otis Redding, and Hank Williams Jr. Don't miss the band that the Sarasota Herald-Tribune called the "best of Southwest Florida. When it comes to local rock bands that perform classic and original songs with equal, crowd-pleasing aplomb, Sarasota-based Kettle of Fish is the best."

Friday Fest is a free and unique way to enjoy incredible music, food and beverage from local vendors, and the well-loved Sarasota sunset. Guests are invited to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets, but no beach umbrellas or tents. Emceed by the energetic Dan Kriwitsky and Ray Collins, it's sure to be a blast. Friday Fest takes place "rain or shine." In the event of inclement weather, the festival will move indoors to the Grand Foyer of the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. Bringing in food, drink, and coolers from outside the Fest is prohibited. The presenting sponsors are Hann Power Boats and Metro PCS, the talent sponsor is BNI Business By The Bay Sarasota and additional sponsors are: Mattison's Bayside, ABC 7 WWSB, Van Wezel Foundation, Waste Management, SRQ Media Group, Bright House Network, 107.9 WSRZ, Doctor's Hospital of Sarasota.
