Ticketmaster, a Live Nation Entertainment company (NYSE: LYV), today announced it will assume operations of the Ticketmaster DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia franchise owned by Monumental Sports & Entertainment.
As of today, January 27, 2011, all franchise clients will begin their seamless transition to Ticketmaster, one of the world's largest e-commerce sites. During the transition, both fans and clients will experience uninterrupted service.
Ticketmaster will now directly provide franchise clients with the latest ticketing technology and innovation, along with its world-class customer service.
Ticketmaster will also provide its seamlessly integrated ticketing distribution solutions, including the latest industry-leading online purchase tools and box office management platforms, online and offline event marketing and communication tools, and a multitude of new services to help drive ticket sales and enhance the overall entertainment experience for fans.
Fans in the greater DC area can continue to purchase tickets through Ticketmaster.com or Ticketmaster's order by phone. In the coming months, tickets will also be available at new major retail outlets and area shopping malls as an additional convenient purchase option for fans.
