The Triad (158 West 72nd Street) is hosting several special live events this month: the first is Speakeasy, an intimate conversation this Sunday, 8/12 at 6pm with multiple Grammy-winning music star Lenny Kravitz and Sean Ono Lennon. This special show is being taped by PBS, tickets are on sale now ($20 / www.TriadNYC.com).
And on Tuesday, 8/14 at 2pm is a Speakeasy with legendary American music group Lynyrd Skynyrd, also being filmed by PBS ($20 / www.TriadNYC.com).
On August 15 at 7:30pm Laurel Canyon Band featuring Grammy-winning songwriter/producer Mark Hudson alongside Hall of Fame songwriter Gary Burr and singer/songwriter Mark Mirando offer a special night of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young's seminal works.
There's also a special concert at The Triad with legendary actor, director, singer & choreographer Maurice Hines on Saturday 8/25 at 7pm. Hines is the brother of the late dancer Gregory Hines & best known for starring in Frances Ford Coppola's "The Cotton Club", Broadway's "Sophisticated Ladies," "Eubie" "Jelly's Last Jam" & "Uptown. And New York's funniest show Celebrity Autobiography returns to The Triad on Saturday, 8/18 at 7pm and will feature stars of stage & screen Richard Kind, Lucy DeVito, Mario Cantone (Sex and the City), Alysia Reiner (Better Things, Orange is the New Black), 5-time Emmy-winner Alan Zweibel, Drama Desk-winners Eugene Pack & Dayle Reyfel, and New York writer Michael Musto.
