The Wooden Sky releases their highly anticipated fourth album Lets Be Ready, today, June 16 via Nevado Music. This release marks the start of new beginnings, as the tireless roots rockers conceived the album amidst a time of many changes while they parted ways with one of the groups founding members.
In order to give each song a unique perspective and to encapsulate their raw live energy, the band, alongside producer Chris Stringer (Timber Timbre, Ohbijou) decided to record the album across various studios and settings where they could capture the best from each song.
The band recently shared lead single "Maybe It's No Secret" which showcases the band's raw live energy. Today they reveal a retrospective video for upbeat album opener "Saturday Night", which combines shimmering guitar melodies over heart heavy lyrics. Frontman Gavin Gardiner shares, "The visuals accompanying "Saturday Night" serves as an introduction for new fans and a look back for those who have been with us for a while. When you compress time like that it brings a lot of memories flooding back." The Wooden Sky draw on both thoughts of the past as well as what lies ahead as Lets Be Ready marks a step forward for the band. Be sure to catch them live in Southern California this May ahead of the album release, and stay tuned for more chances to experience the band's most dynamic and confident album to date on a stage near you.WEBSITE // FACEBOOK // TWITTER
