In preparation for the release of their new album Burning In Paradise, available March 22 via Burger Records, The Tough ss have released the title track as a single today. The track "Burning In Paradise" is a perfectly catchy garage-pop tune that shows off the group's brilliant blend chilled-out surf moods, and high-energy performance. It's bubbly and fun but has a serious edge.
Hailing from Philadelphia, PA, The Tough ss are perennial champions of cult rock anonymity. Their unique sound is a sonic missive to their garage forefathers, without being strictly, just another scuzzy rock band. Their musical influences are informed of: The Rolling Stones, KISS, Sam Cooke & The Clash. Their stylistic influences come directly from bands similar to the New York Dolls. They have shared past bills with touring bands like Jay Reatard, Redd Kross, Mikal Cronin, Meatbodies and every good band that's passed through the City of Brotherly Love. Burning In Paradise is the band's first new album in eight years. Previous Burger Records releases include the group's self-titled album on vinyl and cassette and Prick Up 07-08, on cassette.
