KYLE HOLLINGSWORTH, acclaimed keyboardist for jam band icons THE STRING CHEESE INCIDENT, recently released his new solo album SPEED OF LIFE on SCI Fidelity Records. In addition to collaborating with three renowned beer breweries to create and release limited edition craft beers, the Boulder, CO-based musician has just announced that he is hitting the road this fall in support of the new album.

KYLE will join his The String Cheese Incident bandmates for a pair of headlining festival appearances--Lockn' Music Festival September 4 and 5 and the inaugural Phases of the Moon Music & Art Festival September 11 and 12--before launching into a string of solo tour dates. Kicking off September 17, the Kyle Hollingsworth Band will perform alongside Earphunk in Charleston, SC, Atlanta, GA and Athens, GA and then they'll head out west for dates along the coast, including a special one-off show as support for Karl Denson's Tiny Universe on September 27 in Santa Cruz, CA. The tour will wrap up in the Northwest with three shows with Leftover Salmon. All confirmed dates are listed below and more will be announced soon.

For the release of SPEED OF LIFE, KYLE decided to combine his two passions--music and craft beer. The longtime homebrewer partnered with three renowned beer breweries across the country--Stone Brewing Co., Boulder Beer Company and Cigar City Brewing & Rock Brothers Brewing--to create and release limited edition craft beers available now nationally. KYLE is also offering fansthree free "Hop Tracks" from the album, each to coincide with one of the brews. Just as each beer was designed and handcrafted byKYLE and the respective brewery, each track has been hand-selected to pair with its respectively released brew. Stone Brewing Co.'s Collective Distortion IPA has been paired with the song "Racer X" (available for download here), Boulder Beer Company's Hoopla Pale Ale goes nicely with "Here We Go" (available via QR code, more info here) and lastly Cigar City Brewing & Rock Brothers Brewing's Happening Now Session IPA pairs perfectly with the album's current single "Happening Now" (available free here).

SPEED OF LIFE--HOLLINGSWORTH's third solo album and first in five years--is receiving rave reviews from the media. In the September issue of Relix Magazine, Sam D'Arcangelo noted KYLE "...is in top form on his third solo effort." He went on to say SPEED OF LIFE is "...one of the most enjoyable funk records of the year. Hollingsworth and company are throwing a party in your ear...Calling this a funk record is even something of an oversimplification--more than anything, Speed Of Life is just plain fun."

Elsewhere, LiveForLiveMusic.com raved "...Hollingsworth has put together an all encompassing record that speaks to his eclectic sensibilities as a 21st Century musician...an album that touches upon his virtuosity as a keyboard player as well as his knack for song writing. His blending of traditional instrumentation with electronic elements make for a very entertaining listen. Whether one is a String Cheese enthusiast or not, Speed Of Life offers something to listeners that is both oddly reminiscent and new, all at the same time." (8/12/14)

GratefulWeb.com's Tim Hurley wrote, "On his third full-length solo release Speed of Life, Kyle presents a collection of songs that encompass 70s/80s funk, soulful pop-rock ballads, and modern EDM making the end result his widest ranging yet most appetizing project to date...Speed of Life is a testament to Kyle's skills as a multi-faceted musician...Over the years he already demonstrated to be a major player in the popular String Cheese Incident; however what can no longer go unnoticed is his ability to be a superb bandleader," (8/15/14) while Randy Harris of GratefulMusic.com shared, "What strikes me most about Kyle Hollingsworth is undoubtedly his versatility. On his third solo studio album, Speed Of Life, the String Cheese Incident keyboardist spans a wide range of themes and genres, making the project a great listen for music lovers of all ages and tastes. According to Hollingsworth, 'With this new album, I was trying to explore some traditional funk elements as well as pop sensibilities,' and he definitely succeeded." (8/8/14)
