Breakout Los Angeles based rock band The Shelters perform their Alternative charting single "Rebel Heart" as well as "Liar" on "Last Call with Carson Daly." Most recently, the group released two of their favorite cover songs: "Really Wanted You," which was written and originally performed by Emitt Rhodes, and "So Get Out," originally performed by The Surfaris. In addition, the band will conclude a year of extensive touring with a headlining show tonightat Los Angeles' The Echo.
The band's self-titled debut album-out now via Warner Bros. Records and co-produced by their musical hero Tom Petty-has received critical praise. Paste proclaims, "The band's sound successfully marries elements of '70s and '80s rock and roll with a modern flair," while NBC's SoundDiego furthers, "[The] LA-based foursome who released a staggering gem of a debut album last year chock full of blues- and British Invasion-inspired jangle pop."
All songs on The Shelters are written by band members Chase Simpson (vocals, guitar) andJosh Jove (vocals, guitar).
