Breakout Los Angeles based rock band The Shelters debut a live video for their track "Gold," which was recorded in London's Hyde Park as part of the British Summer Time festival. Watch/share the video HERE.
The band kicks off their tour with
The Head & The Heart tonight in New York at Central Park's Summerstage. The select run of dates now include additional stops in Philadelphia,Atlanta, Nashville, St. Louis, Birmingham, Richmond,
Memphis and more. Of their live performances, The
Chicago Tribune declares, "Echoing the likes of The Kinks-with Boston-esque riffs dropping into a s
wirling duel of two guitars versus one bass, and a vocalist/guitarist serving a rockabilly look-The Shelters were a hodge-podge of classic rock hooks and iconography." See below for complete tour details.
Most recently, the band performed their tracks "Gold" and "Never Look Behind Ya" on "Last Call with Carson Daly." Watch their respective performances
HERE and HERE.
These songs appear on their self-titled debut album-out now via Warner Bros. Records. The band continues to receive critical praise including Billboard who calls it, "Jangly, buoyant, foot-tapping...blending classic influences with modern swagger" and Paste who proclaim, "The band's sound successfully marries elements of '70s and '80s rock and roll with a modern flair."
The record was co-produced by one of the group's musical heroes, Tom Petty, with all songs written by band members Chase Simpson (vocals, guitar) and Josh Jove (vocals, guitar).
The Shelters are Simpson, Jove, Sebastian Harris (drums) and Jacob Pillot (bass).
