The Rubens' Hit Single NEVER EVER (feat Sarah), Certified Platinum

It is Ivy League Records' privilege to announce that The Rubens' hit single 'Never Ever (feat Sarah)', from their third album LO LA RU, has reached Platinum sales (70,000+) in Australia!

In celebration the band has just added extra shows to their upcoming LO LA RU album tour set for this November and December. The addition of Brunswick Heads, Wollongong, Albury and Cairns takes the full tour run to 17 shows.

This exciting news comes off the back of a huge 2018 for The Rubens. Most recently, the band have been busy travelling across Australia and New Zealand supporting megastar P!NK on her 42-date arena tour - with the final show taking place tonight.

As well as supporting P!NK, the band embarked on their own mammoth worldwide headline tour across Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the USA, followed by the release of their mighty third album LO LA RU in June - which debuted at #3 on the ARIA Album Chart. And now they are back for another huge national run - so far, selling out dates in Albury and Cairns.

Thanks to triple j Unearthed, unsigned artists have the chance to join the band onstage to sing the female vocal of 'Never Ever' with The Rubens during their LO LA RU album tour. LO LA RU follows the band's first two LPs, 2012's The Rubens (#3 ARIA Album Chart, certified Platinum) and 2015's Hoops (#2 ARIA Album Chart, certified Gold).

On LO LA RU, The Rubens used the success of Hottest 100 chart-topping single 'Hoops' as an opportunity to spread their creative wings, pushing their music into new territory that is exciting for them, and hopefully by extension, their audience as well.
