On Friday, September 16, the Raincoats will kick off their North American tour at Warsaw concert hall in Brooklyn, New York. The Raincoats are an all female post-punk band ‘godmothers of grunge' from the United Kingdom, who got their start in 1977. Since then, they have recorded 5 albums, two EPs, numerous singles and have toured on hundreds of festivals and concerts over the past three decades.

The Raincoats created a sound that, while inspired by punk and rock music that had come before was uniquely and uncompromisingly powerful and female, and which has held a fascination over all those lucky enough to have stumbled across it.

The Raincoats will be the headliner for the All Tomorrow's Party curated by Jeff Mangum in the United Kingdom. We ThRee announce the reissue of the "Odyshape" the second album by The Raincoats originally released on Rough Trade Records in 1981. We ThRee is The Raincoats' own label and will release the album on heavyweight vinyl and CD on September 12, 2011

Joining them at the Warsaw on their tour will include Grass Widow, Juliana Barwick, JD Samson of Le Tigre/MEN and No Bra.
