What began as a musical hobby and friendship quickly became an extremely successful worldwide career for The Piano Guys. Their innovative compositions which blend classical music with pop tunes, along with their compelling videos, gained millions of fans and led them to work with Sony Music Masterworks who released their debut self-titled album in 2012. Today the four dads from Utah celebrate an official RIAA Gold Album Certification for that first album - The Piano Guys. This is a spectacular achievement for any new artist, especially for an instrumental group. To date, the group has released five albums on Portrait/Sony Music Masterworks: The Piano Guys, The Piano Guys 2, A Family Christmas, Wondersand The Piano Guys: Live! Collectively these releases have spent 287 weeks at #1 on the combined Billboard Charts.

Of the Gold Certification Bogdan Roscic, President of Sony Music Masterworks says: "A Gold album is such an important milestone, but it is only the latest chapter of the remarkable story The Piano Guys have written in the last few years. They have touched people of all ages with their unique blend of musical styles and the boundless ingenuity in creating the stream of videos which has built such an enormous online audience for the band. We are proud of their achievements and look forward to many more projects to come."

The Piano Guys - Steven Sharp Nelson, Jon Schmidt, Al Van der Beek and Paul Anderson - quickly became an online sensation by way of their immensely successful series of striking self-made music videos; most notably their 10-handed version of One Direction's "What Makes You Beautiful." Their over 4.7 million loyal YouTube subscribers look forward to watching them perform in exotic locations around the world including at The Great Wall of China, atop a mountain in Utah and at Iguazu Falls in Brazil.

Continuing their quest to film a music video at each of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Piano Guys recently filmed their new video at the Mayan ruins, Chichn Itz. In this new video they mashup "My Own Home" and "Bear Necessities" from The Jungle Book film with Handel's 'Sarabande.' View The Jungle Book / Sarabande video here.

The Piano Guys touch fans of all ages beyond the computer screen. They continue to tour the world and sell out shows at legendary venues like The Greek Theatre in LA and Carnegie Hall in New York City. This month they make their way through Canada on their first national tour of the country.
