On Sunday, December 2 at 3pm, GRAMMY Award and four-time Parents' Choice Award winners The Okee Dokee Brothers (Joe Mailander and Justin Lansing) will present their lastest work, Winterland, an exuberant yet introspective collection of 16 original songs exploring the wonders and beauty of winter. Utilizing video and other multi-media, Winterland is a voyage from autumn to spring, and presents secular winter music the entire family can enjoy while cozying up around the fire. Country Music Newscalled Winterland, "a simply fascinating, country-oriented, 'kid' song album that is so fresh and so interesting and so delightfully done it should be in every kid's music listening experience."
The Chicago Tribune calls The Okee Dokee Brothers, "fun big brothers eager to show their younger siblings how to have an ethically sound and green-conscious good time." NPR's All Things Considered said, "[The Okee Dokee Brothers] remind us of the American belief that we're bound for better weather. Their album [Can You Canoe?] celebrates everyday explorers, young and old, who rediscover that notion daily." Their work can seen on the Okee Dokee Brothers YouTube Channel and includes the duo's latest video, Snowpeople, a piece that playfully looks at gender stereotyping created in response Mailander's recent fatherhood.

Winterland follows their critically-acclaimed "Adventure Album Series" featuring Can You Canoe?, Through the Woods, and Saddle Up, The Okee Dokee Brothers release an exuberant yet introspective collection of 16 original songs exploring the wonders and beauty of winter. A voyage from autumn to spring, Winterland presents secular winter music the entire family can enjoy while cozying up around the fire. In a world where people are all too often pursuing their own individual journeys, Winterland humbly reminds us that we are all human beings living within the uncontrollable motions of Mother Nature. Embracing the cycles of loss and new life, darkness and light, bitter cold and warmth, Winterland reflects that winter is not only a season, but a feeling we carry within. As we weather the storm by looking inward, we can redefine our seasonal perspectives. In fact, with just the right outlook, winter can become our own sense of paradise, even through the warm months. Join The Okee Dokee Brothers as they welcome you to experience a refreshing, wide-eyed view of the most exciting time of year with their forthcoming album, Winterland.
As childhood friends growing up in Denver Colorado, Joe Mailander and Justin Lansing were always exploring the outdoors. Whether it was rafting down their neighborhood creek or discovering hiking trails through the Rocky Mountains, Joe and Justin were born adventurers. Now, as the GRAMMY® Award-winning Okee Dokee Brothers, they have put this passion for the outdoors at the heart of their Americana Folk music.
Joe and Justin record and perform family music with a goal to inspire children and their parents to get outside and get creative. They believe this can motivate kids to gain a greater respect for the natural world, their communities and themselves.
The four-time Parents' Choice Award winners have garnered praise from the likes of NPR's All Things Considered and USA Today, and have been called "two of family music's best songwriters."
