This past Sunday, January 14, long-time 100.3 The Sound on-air personality Mimi Chen brought her show "Peace, Love and Sundays" to 88.5 FM/Los Angeles, it was announced by Sky Daniels, Program Director for 88.5 FM.
This marks Chen's return to 88.5 FM (where she was previously heard from 2005-2008). The radio veteran's history has included positions at several legendary radio stations, including KSAN/SF, WMMR/Philadelphia, and KCSA/Los Angeles.
"Mimi has held a lifelong commitment to making great radio. Her experience, passion, and musical sensibilities are a natural fit for88.5 FM," says Sky Daniels.
Chen adds, "I'm grateful to be part of this station and delighted to see how 88.5 FM with its expanded signal is now poised to shake up the radio waves in Los Angeles. My innate eclectic musical soul is impressed with the true deep variety of music both new and legendary that they have in their vast library. Thanks to the many fans of 100.3 The Sound for their support of me moving to 88.5 FM."
"Peace, Love and Sundays" airs live on Sundays from 1:00-3:00 PM from 88.5 FM's studio at The Village @ Westfield Topanga in Woodland Hills. 88.5 FM also hosts a weekly free concert at The Village @ Westfield Topanga on Sunday afternoons.
