Southern rock legends The Marshall Tucker Band return to The Orleans Showroom, this weekend, March 6 and 7.

Since releasing their self-titled debut album in 1973, The Marshall Tucker Band has influenced country music groups such as Alabama, The Kentucky Headhunters, Confederate Railroad and Travis Tritt with its definitive blend of rock, rhythm & blues, jazz, country and gospel. With hit singles "Heard It In a Love Song," "Fire On The Mountain," "Can't You See" and "Take The Highway," The Marshall Tucker Band has earned seven gold and three platinum albums. They also scored four hit singles on Billboard's country chart and one on Billboard's gospel chart.

The Marshall Tucker Band's music has been featured on numerous movie soundtracks, including "Smokey and the Bandit," "The Pursuit of D.B. Cooper," "Shipwrecked," "Crank 2," "Don't Mess with Zohan," "Stop Loss," "Swing Vote" and "Taking Chance" as well as many television shows.

Ultimateclassicrock.com recently named The Marshall Tucker Band's "Can't You See" as the greatest southern rock song ever recorded.

Originally formed in Spartanburg, South Carolina, the band's current members include lead vocalist Doug Gray; Pat Elwood on bass guitar; drummer and former member of Mother's Finest and The Outlaws, B.B. Borden; multi-instrumentalist Marcus Henderson, who plays flute, saxophone and keyboards, as well as lead and background vocals; Rick Willis on lead guitar and vocals; and Chris Hicks on guitar and vocals. Together the band carries on the timeless essence of The Marshall Tucker Band.

Showtime each evening is 8 p.m. Tickets start at $29.95, plus tax and convenience fees, and can be purchased at any Boyd Gaming Box Office, by calling 702.284.7777, or visiting www.orleanscasino.com.
