The legendary Harmony Boys are returning to Southern California for a special one-night-only holiday event on Sunday, December 18 at 6:30pm when the boys will celebrate this joyous time of year with a live concert at the Woodshed Studios in North Hollywood. The evening will also feature a raffle of prizes and surprises, a Christmas Carol sing-a-long, and a visit from the one and only Santa Claus. Doors open at 6:30pm and the show begins at 8:00.
It's Christmas Eve 1962 and renowned singing sensations The Harmony Boys are presenting their annual yuletide fundraising concert to benefit their charity "Force Feed the World" (in which they shove food and their personal cultural and religious beliefs down the throats of the less fortunate during the holiday season). It's a singing, dancing, musical sketch comedy extravaganza brimming with heartfelt but provocative satire, at once evoking nostalgia for our nation's past while dissecting its many shortcomings.
The Harmony Boys are (in alphabetical order) Michael Hoy, Aaron Matijasic, Gabriel Oliva, and Al Rahn. They will be joined by the Harmonettes - Natalie Charouhas, Meaghan Hughes, and Faydean Kielty - and the company also includes Nicole Gemma, Will Harris, Autry Jesperson, and Camdyn Wren.
The design team includes production designer Alexa Camargo, choreographer Jen Oundjian, and musical director Ben Stanton. A Harmony Boys Christmas: Live in Concert is written and directed by Aaron Matijasic.
Admission is $20 and tickets are available online at harmonyboys2016.brownpapertickets.com or by calling (800) 838-3006. Online sales include a complimentary Christmas cocktail. Tickets will also be available at the door. The Woodshed Studios are located at 12016 Vose Street in North Hollywood, 91605.
