They met at CBGB's in the 1970s, traversed the US and the UK with some of their favorite bands, and have now landed themselves at the center of a documentary. They are known simply as Dennis & Lois. These names may ring a bell to fans of The Happy Mondays - the Madchester legends named a song after the couple on their 1990 album Pills 'n' Thrills and Bellyaches (listen here). In a new trailer for the documentary, available exclusively via Team Rock, members of The Happy Mondays discuss why Dennis & Lois in particular inspired them and how they played a part in their lives.
Dennis and Lois were recently featured in the New York Times, where writer Corey Kilgannon paid a visit to their house-slash-rock'n'roll shrine. The documentary, titled Dennis & Lois, is currently in post-production and is being funded by fans viaKickstarter. The team is over halfway to their goal with only 4 days in the campaign -- contribute here!
