Live bands! Drag queens! Marionettes! The Growlers are excited to announce their very first Beach Goth Pop Up in Downtown LA, open exclusively on the weekends of Thursday 7/19 - Sunday 7/22, and Friday 7/27 - Sunday 7/29. Nestled in the industrial paradise of 1700 Naud Street in downtown's Cornfield neighborhood, the pop up is free and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Beach Goth Pop Up arrives in advance of Beach Goth 2018 (held on Sunday 8/5), and goes well beyond the typical pop-up shop model. Each night follows a different theme, loaded with oddities, attractions and special musical performances from Beach Goth 2018 performers, including Starcrawler and Puzzle. Growlers fans can interact with props and costumes from the band's infamous live shows, see original artwork from Lizzie Nanut and photography from band archivist Taylor Bonin, and buy limited-edition Growlers merch including cut and sew bathing suits, shirts, and custom silk-screened apparel made on-site. Fans will also have a chance to win free tickets to The Growlers Beach Goth 2018, with two tickets given away each night of the pop up.

Beach Goth 2018
The Beach Goth Pop Up stokes the fires of Beach Goth 2018, the band's annual event held on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Los Angeles State Historic Park, right around the corner from the Beach Goth Pop Up. This year's lineup includes The Voidz (with Julian Casablancas, producer of The Growlers 2016 LP City Club), The Drums, Hatchie, Jonathan Richman, GWAR, Doug E. Fresh, Youth of Today, Yellowman, Bushwick Bill, Starcrawler, Kirin J Callinan and more.
About The Growlers
Since the release of their first LP Are You In or Out? In 2009, The Growlers have forged their own twisted path on the global music scene. They're the party band that grew into a traveling circus that spawned their own event, Beach Goth. Lead singer Brooks Nielsen draws a particular devotion among Growlers fans, as does chief cohort Matt Taylor, The Growlers' music director and lead guitarist. Their most recent LP was 2016's City Club, produced by Julian Casablancas, which saw them expand their palette to include West African, dance, and electronic influences. The band is currently in the studio and preparing for their upcoming Beach Goth World Tour.
