Monday night the Native American Music Association announced to top nominees for the 2018 Native American Music Awards and once again, Liberation Multimedia recording artists are on the ticket!
The GroovaLottos and their 4x Grammy nominated album "Ask Yo' Mama" can now add 'Best Pop Recording' by the Native American Music Awards to their accolades. In addition, the anti-opioid anthem from the collective Soul Poet's Syndicate, "FLIPPIN" received top nominations for 'Best Music Video', marking the first time that two projects from the Mashpee Wampanoag community have been nominated.

Liberation Multimedia recording artist and staff producer, Mwalim DaPhunkee Professor was the first Mashpee Wampanoag to receive nominations in "pop" and 'World Music' from the Native American Music Awards in 2010 for his album "The Liberation Sessions" and was the first Wampanoag to be a presenter at the award ceremony. He also received nominations in 2013 for his album "DEEP Soul Chants & Hollers" and in 2014 for "Awakened By A Noon Day Sun".
