The Garden of Dreams Foundation Unveils Brand-New Music Recording Studio At Madison Square Boys & Girls Club In The Bronx Image

The Garden of Dreams Foundation unveiled a brand-new music recording studio for the children at Madison Square Boys & Girls Club, Joel E. Smilow Clubhouse, in the Bronx. In partnership with Notes for Notes, the recording studio was unveiled by Garden of Dreams Board Member Darryl "DMC" McDaniels of legendary hip-hop group RUN DMC and Notes for Notes Board Member musician Robert Randolph. Joining them were children from Madison Square Boys & Girls Club, who will be participating in the upcoming annual Garden of Dreams Talent Show at Radio City Music Hall on Tuesday, March 27. The project was made possible by an overall $1.9 million grant, which provides brand new studios and programming support to several locations, from The Garden of Dreams Foundation.

The addition of the recording studio will provide the opportunity for the children of Madison Square Boys & Girls Clubs to advance their talents and passion for music more than ever. It will also provide them a dedicated space to rehearse for their upcoming once-in-a-lifetime performance on the Great Stage of Radio City Music Hall in the Garden of Dreams Talent Show. The Talent Show is free and open to the public and is one of the largest annual events for Garden of Dreams, which will showcase more than 20 different performances with more than 150 tri-state children from the Foundation.

The Garden of Dreams Foundation is a non-profit organization that works with The Madison Square Garden Company and MSG Networks Inc. to make dreams come true for children facing obstacles in the tristate area. Since the Foundation began in 2006, this collaboration has brightened the lives of more than 350,000 children and their families. Garden of Dreams works with 30 partner organizations throughout the tri-state area, including hospitals, wish organizations and community-based organizations, to reach children who are facing challenges such as homelessness, extreme poverty, illness and foster care.
