The core members Big Hair (David Brisacher) and Daddy Brady (Brady Waggoner) and their nine-twelve piece award-winning band have a reputation in their hometown of Charleston, South Carolina for bringing various cultures and diversity to the dance floors and equally importantly, breaking the reggae/dancehall scene for the conservative community.

The Dubplates' live shows produce a brilliant mix of multiple horns, percussions and guitar players, housing seven vocalists, steadfast bass, catchy DJ sounds and electrifying keys. The band is comprised of core members, Big Hair (David Brisacher) and Daddy Brady (Brady Waggoner)on guitar/vocals, along with varied members Papa Robbie (Robert Ellington) on vocals, Andy Masker on sax, DJ Trail-Mix on turntables, Ryan Becknell on guitar, Professor Spice (Peter Wilborn) on drums and Shawn Legree and Dub Denizen on percussion.
Their upcoming album, Box Full Of Steel is packed with epic collaborations from heavy hitters, such as King Yellowman, Junior Reid, Mix Master Mike (Beastie Boys), Future Fambo, Elephant Man and Zumjay.
