The wildly prolific singer/songwriter also recently release his first live CD/DVD package in 2011 titled Ari Hest Live – An Intimate Evening at Rockwood Music Hall, which features select audio and video recordings of fan favorite tracks "Sunset Over Hope Street," "I'll Be There," and "The Weight."
Bill Kirchen & Too Much Fun
Friday, January 27 at 8 p.m.

Named "A Titan of the Telecaster" by Guitar Player magazine, Bill Kirchen brings his eclectic blend of rock, country, blues, western swing, and California honky-tonk to The Barns at Wolf Trap. Founder of the nationally renowned country-rock outfit Commander Cody & His Lost Planet Airman, Bill Kirchen has found renewed success later in life with his D.C. based band, Bill Kirchen & Too Much Fun. Along with Too Much Fun, Kirchen still performs a blazing version "Hot Rod Lincoln" - the instantly recognizable Top Ten classic from Commander Cody. In addition to memorable tracks from Commander Cody, Kirchen will perform tracks off his 2010 record, Word to the Wise, a highly lauded album featuring duets with several artists he's worked with over the years, including Elvis Costello, Nick Lowe, and Dan Hicks. This is the D.C. area's only chance to experience "Diesebilly" in 2012 at Wolf Trap.
