Siblings Kimberly, Reid and Neil - the superstar trio better known as The Band Perry - celebrated their fourth #1 song on Monday for their most recent hit "DONE." The celebration marks a milestone for Reid and Neil Perry, as this is their very first #1 song as writers.
"'DONE.' was the last song we wrote for Pioneer. When we finished it, we knew the album was complete. In 'DONE.' we are giving voice to the underdog. We were feeling like ones ourselves at the time we wrote it. It's about rising above whatever circumstances are getting you down." says Neil Perry.
"People have made this one their own. We still sign autographs after most of our shows because we love to hear our fans' stories about how they make TBP songs the soundtracks for different things happening in their lives. This one was apparently a big call to action. So much so, that we renamed it 'DONE. Busting up bad relationships everywhere'!" says Reid Perry
Music industry insiders packed the historic Bridge Building in downtown Nashville to share in the success of Nashville's hottest new country trio. The party, hosted by BMI, SESAC, Red Light Management, WME, BMLG and Major Bob Music, honored
The Band Perry and co-writers John & Jacob.
John & Jacob first met Reid and Neil Perry when they opened for
The Band Perry on some of the trio's shows in the UK. The talented duo struck up a relationship with the band which easily transitioned into co-writing. "DONE." is John & Jacob's very first cut as songwriters and also their very first #1.
In addition to the plethora of #1 awards presented to the writers and
The Band Perry by The CMA, Country Radio Broadcasters, BMI, SESAC and Major Bob Music, Republic Nashville also presented the band with a career milestone plaque commemorating more than TEN MILLION downloads and over TWO MILLON records sold in just four years. It was also noted that The Band Perry's brand new single, "Don't Let Me Be Lonely," was the MOST ADDED at country radio this week, its first week.
"10 million plus paid downloads and over two million albums sold in less than four years is such an amazing success story!" said Republic Nashville President/BMLG EVP Jimmy Harnen. "Back to back #1 singles, # 1 most added on their brand new single and the announcement of a World Tour all screams this is the year of The Band Perry!"
"When I first heard 'DONE.' I thought it was fantastic that four guys could write such a wonderfully catty song - I'm going to let them pen all of our "breakup" songs in the future!" says Kimberly Perry.

ABOUT JOHN AND JACOB: John & Jacob, born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama found their roots in the sounds of back-porch pickers and harmonies of gospel singers.
After ten years of playing together, a stripped-down style emerged, leading the boys back to the basics with feel good melodies and lyrics. They started making trips to Nashville where they soon landed a publishing deal with Major Bob Music. Within two years, they wrote their first Billboard #1 song, were nominated for an MTV O-Music Award, tapped for Red Bull's Sound Select and chosen by CMT as their first unsigned "Listen Up" artist.
Splitting time between writing and touring, the boys are currently in the studio with their band cutting a record, while their song "Be My Girl" gains popularity on Nashville's AAA station Lightning 100 and Birmingham Mountain Radio in their hometown.
